An elegant pad opening in June 2019, with a serene spa and stunning views over the sparkling Adriatic Sea – includes breakfast, a dining discount, all travel and more

  • Given its reputation as being one of the liveliest locations in the whole of Croatia, Novalja is a great spot in which to let loose and enjoy some of the best dance music in Europe. In between all that partying and sunbathing, wind down and relax at the elegant In Excelsis Hotel, brand new for the summer 2019 season.

  • You’ll be well set up for relaxing here, with an outdoor pool and added sun deck on hand to help you while away the hours. If you’re in need of some R&R, enjoy a treatment or two in the Serenity Spa, with natural Croatian products such as lavender and Pag sea salt being the main ingredients used to help you wind down.

  • This peaceful pad is all about the sea views. Rooms and suites come with their own furnished balcony, all offering views of the glistening Adriatic Sea; the perfect spot in which to watch the sun go down before a night on the town. For a combination of tasty food with panoramic ocean vistas, spend some time in the A’Mare restaurant.

How to get there

The closest airport to the island of Pag is Zadar, situated 86 kilometres away on the mainland. Given the distance, we’d recommend getting a hire car and driving; on-site parking is available and reservations are not required in advance.

If you’d rather come via public transport, hop on a bus into central Zadar and then change onto a Novalja bound service.

Good to know

Please note that a city tax of €1.50 per person, per night is not included in the price and needs to be paid at the hotel upon check-out. Pets are not allowed.

Highlights

Pag is Croatia’s up-and-coming destination. With dramatic, rocky mountains, lunar-esque landscapes and quiet villages, it’s certainly different to the glitzier resorts of Hvar or Brac. But scratch beneath the surface and you’ll see that it has plenty to offer travellers who make the choice to come here. The island itself has long-standing traditions in cheese and winemaking, with the paski sir (otherwise known as ‘Pag cheese’) considered a delicacy all across the country.

The In Excelsis Hotel is perched atop a hill in the liveliest corner of the island, otherwise known as Novalja. During the summer months, the place is transformed into a party-loving mecca, with plentiful clubs, bars and even a couple of dance festivals known as ‘Hideout’ and ‘Sonus’ rolling into town.
