Day 1: UK - Bogotá

Hop aboard your flight to Bogotá and check into your hotel upon arrival. (Meals: none)

Day 2: Bogotá

Get to know Colombia’s most iconic city with an action-packed panoramic tour. Discover the streets of La Candelaria neighbourhood and soak up the artistic culture at the Botero Museum, home to the works of the best-known Colombian master. People-watch in Plaza Bolívar, home to majestic buildings such as the Palace of San Carlos, the Cathedral and the Lievano Palace. Finish with a visit to the Gold Museum to admire ancient pieces of Pre-Colombian goldsmiths. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Bogotá

Spend the day at leisure, exploring the capital or climbing Monserrate Mountain for views across the city and surrounding peaks of the Andes. Opt to explore the bizarre Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá (£74pp). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Bogotá – Armenia

Hop aboard a flight to Armenia, a charming city surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Andes and home to unique architecture and lively plazas. Opt for a trip to a coffee plantation to see the whole process of how the crop is farmed and produced (£42pp). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 5: Armenia – Cocora Valley – Salento – Armenia

Set off into the beautiful Cocora Valley, where you’ll enjoy a cocktail upon arrival. Explore the cloud forest and its biodiversity and discover ancient aboriginal Quindio wax palm rituals, for unique insight into the local culture. Take the opportunity to plant palm seedlings before heading to the town of Salento to visit the Plaza de Bolivar and the Cocora viewpoint to take in the panoramic views. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Armenia – Medellín

Head via plane to Medellín, otherwise known as the ‘City of Eternal Spring’. Once settled, take a panoramic city tour and visit Lleras Park, the Botero Sculpture Park and the hill of Santo Domingo, where you’ll get to enjoy cityscape views. Later, enjoy a trip to the Paisa neighbourhood for a dose of culture. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Medellín

Enjoy a day at leisure today; opt for an excursion to the famous Peñol Stone, a 220-metre-high rock monolith. (£140pp). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 8: Medellín - Santa Marta

Fly to Santa Marta, a colonial city set on the country’s Caribbean coast. Get settled in and enjoy an optional stroll along the beach at sunset. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Santa Marta

Enjoy a day at your leisure in beautiful Santa Marta, soaking up the Spanish-influenced architecture and charming atmosphere of the Old Town or simply relaxing on the beach. We recommend an optional excursion to Tayrona National Natural Park for rainforests and more beach vibes. (£160pp). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Santa Marta - Cartagena

Head to beautiful Cartagena today, a city synonymous with beautiful architecture and history galore. It's increasingly up-and-coming, with a plethora of quirky bars and eateries, and is home to colourful streets and leafy plazas; perfect for exploring. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 11: Cartagena

Get to know the colonial past and colourful present of the city, before a panoramic tour of Cartagena, passing through the main neighbourhoods of the city: Boca Grande, Castillo Grande and Manga. Arrive at the majestic Castillo de San Felipe, an important feat in military engineering. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Cartagena

Spend the day exploring the city and its surroundings at your leisure, or take an optional tour to the Rosario Islands. (£64pp). (Meals: breakfast)

Day 13: Cartagena - Night on board

Fly home from your Colombian adventure; spend the night aboard. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 14: UK

Arrive in the UK.

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).

We've added deposit-only sales to enable our members to get early-bird access to more amazing holidays, and because we know that planning and paying for a holiday can take time.
