Paros

Scenic island-hopping trip through Greece’s stunning Cyclades islands, with stops in Naxos, Paros and the country’s capital Athens – includes breakfast and all travel

Athens

With its uniquely eclectic mix of ancient ruins, Greek mythology and Olympic history, Athens has more cultural clout than almost any other place in the world. Add to that a lively bar and restaurant scene and you’ve got the makings of a pretty out-of-this-world city. You’ll have easy access to all of this and more when staying at the recently renovated Achilleas Hotel, a warm and friendly place set right in the heart of the bustling historic centre.

Fuel up for the day with a hearty breakfast of Greek yoghurt, scrambled eggs and seasonal fresh fruits, then get out and explore. Unearth ancient artefacts at the Acropolis Museum, soak up the frenetic atmosphere at Kolokani Square and hike to the top of Lycabettus for some of the best views of the city below, before quenching your thirst with a cold glass of Mythos beer. Yammas.

Naxos

Fulfill an idyllic Greek island fantasy with a stay on pretty Naxos, known for its long sandy beaches, mountainous interior, succulent cuisine and homegrown wines. You’ll be based in the peaceful Annita’s Village Art Hotel, a lovely little pad with its own private pool and shaded sun terrace; the perfect spot to grab some R&R with a glass of local wine in hand.

It’s a quiet spot, but you’ll on be a 15-minute walk from the famous beach of Agios Prokopios and a short drive into the picturesque Naxos Old Town. Other beaches in the vicinity are Agia Anna, Plaka and Maragas, all within a 20-minute drive. A day of thrills and excitement can be had at the Aqua Fun Water Park, about a kilometre or so away, and the quaint and charming village of Filoti – the island's largest – is well worth the half-hour car ride to.

Paros

It may be lesser-known that its glitzy neighbours Mykonos and Santorini, but the Cycladic island of Paros has it nailed in terms of dazzling whitewashed houses, visit-worthy chapels and churches, glittering beaches backed by turquoise-tinted Aegean waters, and bucket loads of traditional Greek charm. You’ll be based during your time here at the chic Paros Bay Sea Resort Hotel, a charming hotel situated right next to the silky sands of Parasporos Beach.

When you’re not blissing out on sunloungers by the outdoor pool, days here can spent marvelling at the ancient 15th-century castle, watching fishing boats bobbing away at the Venetian port, and strolling the stone-tiled streets to see the island’s iconic whitewashed houses. Further Paros thrills include visiting Panagia Ekatontapiliani (The Church of 100 Doors) in the island capital of Parikia, hitting the stunning sands at Golden Beach, and taking boat trips to neighboring islands.
