Day 1: UK - Amman

Arrive in Amman and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, start to explore this fascinating and historic city. (Meals: dinner)

Day 2: Amman -
Jerash - Aljoun - Amman

Take a tour of Amman, visiting the Ciudadela, and the Roman Theatre. From here, you’ll continue north to Jerash and Ajloun Castle, originally built in 1185, from which you'll enjoy panoramic views. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 3: Amman - Castles of the Desert - Dead Sea - Amman

Today you’ll explore the crusader castle of the desert before visiting the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, for a swim in its salty waters. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 4: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Shobak Castle - Petra

This morning, set off for Madaba and visit the Church of San Jorge. Continue to Mount Nebo and enjoy panoramic views over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Visit the remains of the Byzantine Church, as well as Shobak Castle. Continue on to Petra, where you’ll check-in to your hotel and spend the night. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 5: Petra

It’s the day you’ve been waiting for; your visit to UNESCO-listed world-wonder Petra, one of the most important Nabatean monuments. Wander the magical paths to see the Treasury, the Coloured Tombs and the Royal Tombs. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 6: Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum

This morning, visit the narrow gorge of Little Petra before moving on to Wadi Rum, the desert made famous by Laurence of Arabia. Take a 4x4 excursion over the lunar-like landscape and stay overnight in the magnificent reddish sands of Wadi Rum desert camp. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 7: Wadi Rum - Aqaba

Hop back in the car to transfer to Aqaba, Jordan’s gateway to the Red Sea. Spend a day at leisure snorkelling, diving or lounging on the beach. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Days 8 & 9: Aqaba

Spend two days at leisure by the sea. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 10: Aqaba - Amman

Return to Amman, where you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure. Why not tick a few more things off your list, like the umbrella stairs or King Abdullah Mosque, or spend your afternoon sampling the delicious food the city has to offer. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 11: Amman - UK


After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch your flight home. (Meals: breakfast - if leaving after 11am)

In short, you pay Secret Escapes a non-refundable deposit to secure your holiday, then you pay the holiday supplier the remaining balance of the holiday - as advertised - at a later date (before you travel).
