Good to know

Please be aware that Ramadan 2020 will take place from 23 April until 23 May. During this time, tourists cannot eat in public, alcohol will be served from 7pm and room service will be available 24 hours a day. Every healthy Muslim fasts from dawn until dusk and as twilight falls the city comes alive, with bustling ‘Ramadan tents’, where tourists can mingle with locals, sample a variety of traditional dishes and entertainment, and chat late into the night.
